Bored Ape Yacht Club creator introduces skill-based NFT minting

The non-fungible token (NFT) ecosystem will be extended by Yuga Labs, the design studio behind Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), starting with a free mint and a skill-based game.

The multi-stage drop will begin on Jan. 17 with a free mint branded “Sewer Passes,” which will be given to active members of the Bored Ape Yacht Club and the Mutant Ape Yacht Club. Participants need these tokens to take part in the new, skill-based game Dookey Dash, which will be available on Jan. 18.

Dookey Dash: details

Dookey Dash will be open to all Sewer Pass owners, including those who purchased their passes on a secondary market and currently have access. To validate their Sewer Passes, the holders need to compete in the game an unlimited number of times and get a score that is higher than 0.

The conclusion of this peculiar process will become clear on Feb. 15, when play on Dookey Dash is finally put to a stop.

BAYC announced on Jan. 12 that Sewer Pass holders will vie for the best score and win their new power source:

“What it exposes will be decided by the highest single-run score on your unique Sewer Pass and the wallet linked with the successful run.”
