Anthropic introduced ready-to-use legal artifacts in Claude, plus new connectors, partner-built tools and access-to-justice projects.

Anthropic has introduced ready-to-use artifacts for legal work inside Claude, expanding the product’s legal offering with tools that legal teams can adapt, share and connect to their existing systems. The company said the release is aimed at making setup simpler and collaboration easier for legal teams that have been using Claude for Legal since May.

Evidence and context

The new legal gallery includes interactive artifacts for tasks such as reviewing contracts, tracking regulatory changes and intake of legal requests from the business, according to Anthropic’s October 28, 2026 announcement. Each artifact opens with an example and is designed so that a legal professional brings their own documents and sources, Claude completes a first pass, and a lawyer applies judgment to the output. Anthropic said each answer or output links back to its source.

The gallery includes tools named Cite check, Jurisdiction survey matrix, Matter board, Playbook deviation board, Regulatory horizon scan and Tabular review. Anthropic described Cite check as comparing a legal document with its sources and flagging mismatched quotes, incorrect page numbers and unsupported claims. Regulatory horizon scan maps upcoming regulations on a timeline and ranks them by impact, while Tabular review builds a table from a set of contracts with links to the exact language. Matter board turns engagement letters, emails or spreadsheets into a board of open matters, and Playbook deviation board compares contracts with company standard terms and routes exceptions for approval.

Anthropic said legal professionals can tailor artifacts to their teams and use connectors to bring in playbooks or research sources without manual uploads. Since launching Claude for Legal, the company said it has added more than 60 legal connectors, including Bloomberg Law, Filevine, Ivo, Legora and Patlytics. Anthropic also said legal teams can share artifacts inside or outside their organization with privacy settings designed to support ethical walls.

Partner-built tools and public-interest use cases

The company said it partnered with legal tech companies and law firms on several gallery artifacts. Those include AI Governance Benchmark from Goodwin, Harvey Intake from Harvey, Obligations Checker from Foley & Lardner, and Subpoena Response Tool from PwC. Anthropic said additional artifacts are coming from Legora and Orrick.

Anthropic also said the gallery includes nine access-to-justice artifacts, five of which were built by nonprofit and public interest groups supported with Claude credits. Those include Criminal Charge Reality Check from Zealous, Immigration Papers Reader from Mobile Pathways, Rent Ledger Reviewer and Record-Sealing Screener from Rising for Justice, and Record Clearance from The Access Project. The company said these projects build on its Oxford Justice Innovators Programme, a 12-month initiative with the Oxford Institute of Technology and Justice and Microsoft that supports up to 10 innovators expanding access to justice.

In the same announcement, Anthropic said it is launching a Legal Ambassadors Program for legal professionals who build with Claude. The company said the program will allow participants to share their work and learn from each other, with a waitlist now open.

Anthropic did not provide usage figures, customer adoption data or financial terms tied to the legal gallery release. It said legal teams can browse the gallery in Claude or start from the Claude for Legal page, and it listed implementation partners including Accenture, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC and others. The timing of any rollout beyond the public release was not specified.
