Up Network and Movement Labs partner to launch Web3 smartphone
Up Network just announced a strategic partnership with Movement Labs, unveiling the Up Mobile, a Web3-dedicated smartphone.
This collaboration hopes to revolutionize the consumer Web3 experience with better privacy, scalability, and user-friendliness.
The Up Mobile will use biometric sensors and zero-knowledge proofs to verify blockchain identity. Its Web3-specialized OS supports MoveVM and EVM, providing a broad platform for decentralized applications (DePIN, DeFi, GameFi, and SocialFi). Integrated local large language models assist users in earning rewards through Proof of Attention activities.
Smartphone distribution
The smartphone already has over 10,000 pre-orders, and the target is to distribute 100,000 units by the end of this year. The partnership boasts 50 onboarded partners, including prominent Web3 IPs, offering user rewards for engagement.
“Having experienced the Up Mobile device firsthand, I can confidently say it not only surpasses anything in the Web3 space but also rivals, if not exceeds, the quality of well-known mainstream brands,” said Rushi Manche, co-founder of Movement Labs.
The Movement Lab’s Movement network provides mobile devices with significant benefits as attention nodes, and it hopes to efficiently onboard the next billion users. These benefits arise from the network’s high throughput (30,000+ transactions per second) and localized fee markets, which enable cost-effective operations and reduce network congestion.
