NVIDIA partners with UK innovators to enhance AI applications across robotics, healthcare, and life sciences, supporting the UK’s AI Action Opportunities Plan.





NVIDIA is making significant strides in advancing artificial intelligence (AI) applications in the United Kingdom, partnering with a diverse array of innovators to enhance sectors such as robotics, healthcare, and life sciences. The collaboration is in line with the UK’s AI Action Opportunities Plan, which aims to leverage AI for national growth, according to NVIDIA.

Building the UK’s AI Foundation

Efforts to establish a robust AI foundation in the UK are already underway, supported by the country’s dynamic research and startup ecosystem. A notable project is Isambard-AI, the UK’s most powerful AI supercomputer, which is accelerating national projects. These include the UK-LLM project aimed at improving public service delivery and the Nightingale AI model for enhanced healthcare applications.

Additionally, the University of Cambridge is collaborating with NVIDIA to develop electrostatics-aware foundation models for chemistry, which could revolutionize the understanding of atomic interactions.

AI Innovations in Robotics

NVIDIA is also enhancing the UK’s robotics sector, collaborating with techUK and other leaders to bolster the ecosystem. Companies like Extend Robotics and Humanoid are making significant advances, with the former using NVIDIA technology to improve robot deployment in manufacturing and the latter developing humanoid robots for commercial use.

Furthermore, the National Robotarium and companies such as Opteran and Oxa are leveraging NVIDIA’s AI frameworks to drive innovation in autonomous systems and robotics, aiming to mirror natural processes and improve industrial applications.

Life Sciences and AI

In the life sciences domain, NVIDIA’s technology is empowering UK companies to adopt an AI-first approach in drug discovery and healthcare. Companies like Basecamp Research and Isomorphic Labs are utilizing large datasets and AI models to accelerate the development of new therapies and treatment testing.

Moreover, the UK Centre of Excellence for In-Silico Regulatory Science and Innovation is using NVIDIA technology to develop complex digital twins, facilitating the testing of new treatments on diverse patient populations.

Agentic and Generative AI Tools

NVIDIA is also at the forefront of agentic and generative AI innovations in the UK. Companies such as Aveni and ElevenLabs are developing financial and voice AI technologies to transform customer interactions and automate processes.
