Motorcycle maker Ducati launches NFTs on XRP ledger
Ducati is set to release its first-ever digital collectible on the XRP Ledger, comprising an animated sequence of Ducati logos featured on motorcycle fuel tanks since 1946.
In an industry-first, renowned motorcycle maker, Ducati has disclosed plans to debut its inaugural digital collectible, utilizing the infrastructure of the XRP Ledger. The innovative digital keepsake from the Italian-based firm will feature an animated series of Ducati logos, as showcased on the fuel tanks of the motorcycles crafted since the company’s inception in 1946. Claudio Domenicali, Ducati’s chief executive officer, believes that launching this connection “represents an opportunity to meet and make ourselves known to a new community of NFT enthusiasts.”
Interested parties have a one-week window following the launch on July 26 to register. Early adopters who acquire the initial collectible will secure privileged access to future project rollouts. Ducati confirmed that its forthcoming initiatives will leverage the XRPL platform.
“Over the next few months, a series of WEB 3.0 activities will be developed through the creation of new digital aggregation spaces, NFT collections and opportunities to participate in the new activities typical of the WEB 3.0 universe, already relevant in the cryptocurrency community,” the company said.
Ducati has joined forces Lamborghini, on an NFT suite titled “The Epic Road Trip.” “NFTs continue to drive activity and over 1 million assets have been minted on the Ledger since XLS-20 went live on mainnet,” Ripple’s website stated.
