The IOTA Hackathon Malaysia 2025 is poised to be a pivotal event in the blockchain and Web3 landscape, scheduled to take place from July 19 to 21 in Kuala Lumpur. Organized by the IOTA Ecosystem DLT Foundation in collaboration with Growth Charger, this event is part of Malaysia Blockchain Week and aims to bring together developers, students, and blockchain innovators from across the region, according to the IOTA Blog.

Participants are invited to register until June 30, 2025, for the opportunity to compete for a share of $10,000 in prizes. The hackathon promises hands-on guidance from IOTA engineers and industry experts, providing a unique learning experience.

The hackathon aims to harness Malaysia’s vibrant Web3 ecosystem, leveraging the newly launched IOTA Rebased Upgrade and the paradigm-shifting Move programming language. The first two days will be dedicated to team formation, prototype development, and mentorship. On Day 3, the Top 10 teams will present their solutions to a panel of experts, showcasing their innovations to potential investors and partners.
