Astar Network introduces the Astar Contribution Score (ACS) campaign to expand the utility of its native token, ASTR, within the Soneium ecosystem, offering rewards to active participants.





The Astar Foundation has announced the launch of its Astar Contribution Score (ACS) campaign, a strategic initiative aimed at enhancing the utility of its native token, ASTR, within the Soneium ecosystem. This campaign is designed to engage users and projects, driving the growth of ASTR through a reward-based system that incentivizes participation across various decentralized applications (dApps) and platforms, according to astar.network.

ACS Campaign Overview

The ACS campaign commenced on February 20, 2025, and will run for 100 days, concluding on May 30, 2025. It features a substantial reward pool of 100 million ASTR tokens, distributed to users based on their contributions and interactions within the Soneium ecosystem. The campaign aims to foster a sustainable economic model for ASTR by expanding its use case in decentralized finance (DeFi), consumer, and gaming applications.

Mechanics of the ACS Campaign

At its core, the ACS is a score-based incentive mechanism that rewards users for their active participation in the ecosystem. Participants can earn scores by engaging with over 30 applications within Soneium. These scores are then converted into ASTR tokens, with the campaign structured to ensure continuous engagement through daily score distribution.

The allocation of the total 1 billion ACS supply is divided primarily into TVL-based (Total Value Locked) allocations, discretionary allocations for specific growth areas, and a small reserve for unforeseen needs. Key projects involved in the rewards distribution include Velodrome, QuickSwap, and Stargate Finance, among others.

Strategic Impact and Long-Term Vision

The ACS campaign is part of a broader strategy to increase ASTR’s adoption and utility. By encouraging active participation, the campaign seeks to establish ASTR as a key player within the Superchain ecosystem, enhancing its value and usage across various web3 interactions. This initiative follows Astar Surge, which successfully reactivated onchain activity by bringing new projects and users to the platform.

In addition to expanding ASTR’s utility, the campaign also aims to create a sustainable ecosystem where ASTR becomes an integral part of every transaction within Soneium. The campaign supports sustainable tokenomics by burning unclaimed rewards, thus reducing the circulating supply and reinforcing ASTR’s long-term value proposition.

The ACS campaign represents the first step in Astar’s broader plan to expand ASTR’s reach and adoption. As the campaign progresses, Astar Network anticipates further developments, including new user-generated content, partnerships, and innovations.
